Brian Cashin is a junior at Yale who is pursuing a double major in computer science and economics. Mr. Cashin is a violinist for the Saint Thomas More Church, executive events at the Yale School of Management, and at the Yale Club of New York City. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Socially Responsible Investments Journal. He also is a software engineer for the Yale ITS Technology and Development Team, a Yale admissions tour guide, a Yale Libraries worker, and a Yale Conferences and Events operations coordinator.
Rita Wang is a junior at Yale double majoring in Philosophy and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies. She has also served as Floor Leader of the Left of the Yale Political Union. Apart from the Yale Political Union, Rita serves as Editor in Chief of the Yale Philosophy Review and as the Political Action Coordinator for the Yale Women’s Center. Her academic research is on the benefits of universal child welfare as opposed to means tested child welfare.
Thomas Gould is a junior at Yale studying Math and Philosophy. Apart from the Yale Political Union, he works as a Conservation Assistant at the Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, as a staff member of Yale’s Office of LGBTQ Resources, and as president of the Office’s Spectrum Fellows program. His research experience focuses primarily on financial analysis of the pharmaceutical industry and in conducting audits for non-profits. Mr. Gould hopes to attend law school, but feels he is an art snob and cinephile at heart.
Idris Sylvester is a sophomore at Yale pursuing a B.S. degree in Computer Science. He is a tutor for the comprehensive introductory computer science course, CS50, and aspies to launch his own tech startup.
Christian Wolpert Gaztambide is a sophomore and prospective Global Affairs major from San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is excited to set grand long term objectives for the YPU and see them through. Mr. Wolpert Gaztambide is interested in foreign affairs, baseball, and poetry.
Alexandra Lanier is a sophomore in Jonathan Edwards College at Yale. She is a prospective Global Affairs and Applied Mathematics double major. In her free time, she enjoys teaching herself new languages, playing the piano, and running long-distance.
Paul Han is a sophomore in Berkeley College studying Political Science and Electrical Engineering. His research field is in the area of low cost muon detection. While his professional interests lie in federal domestic policy, he also enjoys film photography and high fidelity audio.
